Is the #MeToo movement in India having more severe consequences in India?

There was a case of Dehli , a girl raped and killed in 2012 so cold bloodedly that even a monster will cover himself in shame. Of course at that time Indian public raised this issue like never b4 but what was the consequence of it. May be in this particular case they declared that the culprits would be given a death sentence but talking about the repercussions and effects it would have brought are no where to be seen.
